A new engineer starts next week, and I have been asked to be her mentor.
Captain Sarcastic: What do you want me to do?
HR Admin: Make her feel welcome: introduce her to people, take her out to lunch, answer questions.
Captain Sarcastic: Can I tell her that her manager is an imbecile?
HR Admin: No, she’ll figure that out soon enough.
August Update: She quit, went to work for the company across the street.
